JD Campbell got the start, but didn't complete 5 innings, so by Major League rules, he gets no decision. Coming into the game with a pretty decent lead, Justin Smith gets the win! Its his first win with the Bullfrogs and its about time considering his great pitching all season without a "W" on the books!

"This is the most somber victory ever!" said Campbell after the game. Maybe because the Bullfrogs usually play much more dramatically... maybe because they established a lead early and maintained... maybe because it was hotter than hades in Pueblo. To play a game in the lead in this league and maintain poise takes a LOT of concentration! Maybe the Bullfrogs were worn out physically AND mentally. Who knows, but what we know is that the Bullfrogs won a big game!
The Bullfrogs will face the Charros, who lost to the Demons by a margin of one, on Sunday in Pueblo. The Charros will be looking for redemption, where as the Bullfrogs will be riding the orange momentum train. It should be a good game considering in the regular season, the Charros and the Bullfrogs split.
Sunday Aug 9th: Bullfrogs AT Charros, Pueblo, 12:30 game time.
Go Bullfrogs!
