WC LEGENDS 2008
The Legends are returning for the 2008 season without some familar faces Dan Krupa and Tom Page won't be returning this year for personal reasons.  Brian Walker was in a terriable motorcycle accident over the winter and is unable to come back and play this year.  We have added some new talent.  The Legends recruiter Adam Walker has been very busy.  Thanks to Adam The Legends have signed Brett Bodine a catcher and third baseman,  Dan Ackley a shortstop,  Dan White will help us as a utility player and Lefty pitcher and slugger Keith Dare.

We will scrimmage the Logan lions this Sunday 3-20-08.  The game will be at 9 am at the Lions field.

LEGENDS BEAT DELCO DIAMONDBACKS 9-5

     THE LEGENDS GOT THEIR FIRST VICTORY OF THE SEASON THIS SUNDAY AGAINST THE DELCO DIAMOND BACKS.  DONALD MCGOWAN HAD A GREAT DAY ON THE MOUND BY NOT GIVING UP A RUN UNTIL THE SEVENTH INNING.  HE ALSO HAD AN OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PLAY AT THIRDBASE DOULBLING UP THE DIAMONDBACKS.  GEORGE TAYLOR FINISHED UP THE LAST TWO INNINGS ON THE MOUND AND DIDN'T GIVE UP RUN.  JOE COOK AND ADAM WALKER EACH HAD A PAIR OF SINGLES AND CHAD WALKER WITH HIS UNIQUE STYLE OF BASE RUNNING SCORED THREE RUNS AND HAD TWO STOLEN BASES.  LET'S HOPE THE LEGENDS KEEP UP THEIR WINNING WAYS WHEN THEY FACE THE LIONS IN TWO WEEKS.

     THE LEGENDS LOST TO THE LIONS 13-4 LAST SUNDAY.   BRETT BODINE AND DONALD MCGOWAN BOTH HAD A GREAT DAY AT THE PLATE COLLECTING THREE HITS A PIECE.  WE'RE OFF FOR TWO WEEKS THEN PLAY THE DEVIL RAYS AT HOME.

THE LEGENDS PICKED UP THEIR SECOND WIN THIS PAST SUNDAY, DEFEATING THE PRIMETAX DIAMONDBACKS 5 TO 2.  WE'RE OFF THIS WEEKEND FOR FATHERS DAY AND COME BACK TO PLAY ON 6-22 IN ROXBOROUGH AGAINST THE RIVER RATS.  GOOD LUCK GUYS.

LEGENDS TIE WESTVILLE 14 ALL
THE LEGENDS ENDED THE SEASON WITH A 14 ALL TIE AGAINST THE WESTVILLE WARRIORS.  THANKS GUYS FOR ANOTHER FUN SEASON.  WE DIDN'T WIN MANY, BUT EACH YEAR WE GET A LITTLE BETTER.  I'LL CALL YOU ALL IN JANUARY TO SEE IF YOU WANT TO DO IT AGAIN.
