YANKEES FIGHT TO THE END BUT COME UP SHORT TO THE CHARROS. |
The Yankees played well with five strong innings from starting pitcher Mylan Blark who only had one strike out against the good contact hitting of the Charros. The Yankees were able to tie the game in the 5th with a three run homerun by catcher Ted Saenz. The yankees were able to come within two in the 9th when a solo homerun was hit by second baseman Grant Schneider. The Yankees had a chance in the 9th with two on two outs but right fielder Chris Dike struck out on a high fastball. All in all the Yankees had 16 hits only one less then the Charros. The Manitou Yankees showed that they have the talent to compete with the best in the league. |

YANKEES DESPITE ONLY SCORING IN THE FIRST INNING HOLD ON FOR WIN. WITH GOOD DEFENSE AND A LIGHTS OUT PERFORMANCE BY RELIEF PITCHER TJ BOPP. |
THE YANKEES SCORE 11 IN THE FIRST BUT THERE BATS WENT SILENT AFTER THE FIRST, BUT WERE ABLE TO HOLD ON WITH GOOD DEFENSE AND A OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY RELEIF PITCHER TJ BOPP WHO CAME IN IN THE 4TH INNING AND GAVE UP NO EARNED RUNS AND STRUCK OUT 7 TO GET THE SAVE. THE YANKEES CONTINUE TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE A GOOD HITTING TEAM WITH GOOD SOLID DEFENSE AND A PITCHING ROTATION THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE. |

The Yankees started out slow Sunday. Taking the lead early on, it seemed as if we may have a game, with the Cachorros holding on tight.
Late in the 7th, with a lead of 2 and looking for more, Eric Morales, quite possibly on track to lead the league in stolen bases, saw his last stolen base attempt of the season. Eric was making an attempt for 2nd when his cleat caught in front of the bag and he blew out his ankle. Play was stopped for almost 30 minutes as paramedics were called to transport Eric to the hospital.
As play began in the 8th, the atmosphere changed. The Cachorros were no longer to hit Mylan Blark, throwing for 9 Ks in the game, as the game became a must win because of the tragedy at second base. The next Yankee at bat saw John Klundt with 3 run HR and Grant Schneider with a 1 run HR, leaving the Cachorros behind with a loss.
It was a bittersweet victory for the Yankees with the loss of Eric Morales. Eric will continue to make game appearances, in an effort to support the team, as his injury allows him.

THE YANKEES LOOKED TIRED SUNDAY AND THERE DEFENSE LACKED ITS USUAL SHAPNESS. THEY WERE UNABLE TO GIVE STARTING PITCHER JOHN KLUNDT ANY RUN SUPPORT AFTER HE PITCHED WELL BUT WAS RATTLED BY THE YANKEES MISHAPS IN THE FIELD. THE YANKEES ARE WELL AWARE OF WERE THEY HAVE TO BE OFFENSIVLY AND DEFENSIVLY TO COMPETE WITH THE BOMBMERS. THEY ALL KNOW WHAT THEY MUST DO TO WIN. THE QUESTION IS WILL THEY BR PREPARED FOR THE BOMBMERS. |

THE YANKEES LOOKED TIRED AND THE YAKEES DEFENSE LACKED ITS USUAL SHARPNESS. THE BATS ARE NOT UP TO SPEED.THETEAM WILL HAVE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BEFORE THE NEXT GAME WHEN THEY FACE THE BOMBERS. THE YANKEES ARE EXCITED TO HAVE ONE OF THEIR PITCHING ACES BACK. THE CRAFTY RIGHT HANDER TJ BOPP WILL BE THE STARTER FOR GAME 7. THE YANKEES KNOW THEY WILL NEED TO HIT TO WIN. |
THE YANKEES ARE GETTING PREPARED FOR THE BOMBMERS. |
THE YANKEES HAVE HAD SOME TIME TO THINK ABOUT THERE 2ND LOSS OF THE SEASON TO THE DEMONS. THEY HAVE MADE SOME ADJUSTMENTS IN THE FIELD, AND ARE HOPING THERE BATS WILL RETURN TO NORMAL. |
THE YANKEES ARE ON A TWO GAME SKID LOSING THERE LAST TWO GAMES. THEY HOPE TO GET BACK ON TRACK NEXT GAME. THE YANKEES HITTING AND PITCHING ARE WHAT MAKE THE YANKEES A GOOD TEAM, BUT AS OF LATE BOTH THERE HITTING AND PITCHING ARE IN A TERRIBLE SLUMP. |

THE YANKEES FEELING GOOD ABOUT WIN |
PITCHER TJ BOPP THREW A GEM WHILE THE YANKEES OFFENSE ADDED PLENTY OF RUN SUPPORT. THE YANKEES WIN NUMBER FIVE ON THE SEASON AND ARE READY TO FACE THE BULLFROGS. YANKEES MANAGER TED SAENZ WAS HAPPY WITH HIS TEAMS PLAY AND STATED" THAT IS THE HITTING MACHINE I KNOW AND THE DEFENSE IS BACK ON TRACK". |

Yankees use long ball and pitching to get past the fighting Bullfrogs. |
The Yankees get their sixth win of the regular season using the long ball to defeat the Bullfrogs who would not lay down and capitilazed on the Yankees mistakes. But in the end the pitching became the factor in the game. While John (Butcher)
Klundt pitched well enough to win the lights out guy was Scotty( No Nonsense) Berry who brought the heat and change speeds efficiently to record ten strikeouts. The Yankees hope to get some Practice in this week to gear up for the Goodies. |

THE YANKEES TRIED TO RECOVER FROM ONE BAD INNING BUT COME UP SHORT AGAINST THE GOODIES. |
The story sounds the same when the yankees lose the pitching is usually good enough to win the bats always seem to do what they are suppose to. The weakpoint to the Yankees to this point has been there defense not playing with consistency. They hope to change that this week when they face the great contact hitting Charros where the defense must be on there toes. |

THE YANKEES HOPING TO BOUNCE BACK AFTER TWO GAME SKID |
THE YANKEES FOUGHT HARD BUT FELL TO THE CHARROS. LOOK FOR THE YANKEES TO REBOUND AND FINISH STRONG GOING INTO THE PLAYOFFS. |
THE YANKEES PUT UP DOUBLE DIGITS TO DEFEAT THE SOX. |
THE YANKEES STARTER CHAD ROBERTS PITCHED VERY WELL ALLOWING ONLY ONE RUN IN SIX INNINGS OF WORK HIS COMMAND WAS THERE AND THE YANKEES DEFENSE WAS BACK AND THE YANKEES BATS WERE ON FIRE. |
Yanks win and Eric Morales is back in action just in time for the playoffs. |
THE YANKEES LOOKED STRONG WITH GREAT PITCHING FROM ERIC MORALES AND PLENTY OF HITTING. ERIC PITCHED 6 INNINGS WHILE ONLY ALLOWING ONE RUN AND STRIKING OUT FIVE AND GETTING THE WIN. ERIC IS BACK AFTER SHATTERING HIS ANKLE TEN WEEKS AGO. A LONG BALL WAS ADDED BY DIMAS NUNEZ AND JOHN(BUTCHER) KLUNDT WENT 4-5. ALL IN ALL THE YANKEES LOOK VERY SMOOTH ON THE FIELD AND VERY CONFIDENT AT THE PLATE AND STRONG ON THE MOUND. THE YANKEES ARE READY TO CRUSH THE CACAHRROS AND COMPETE STRONGLY WITH THE lEAGUE LEADERS. |

YANKEES LOSE AFTER LEADING BY EIGHT. |
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|

DESPITE BEING THE UNDER DOGS AND ALOT OLDER. THE YANKEES CAME OUT FIGHTING AGAINST THE WELL SKILLED BOMBERS. TJ BOPP PITCHED A JEM KEEPING THE BATS OF THE BOMBERS OFF BALANCE WITH A MIXTURE OF CHANGE UPS AND HIS 12-6 CURVEBALL THAT LOCKED MANY BATTERS UP. THE YANKEES USED THE LONG BALL ONCE AGAIN AND SOLID DEFENSE TO CAPTURE THE DRAMATIC WIN. THEY WERE THE TEAM TO BEAT SAYS MANAGER TED SAENZ THE NUMBER ONE SEED. I AM VERY PROUD OF MY GUYS AND TIP MY HATS TO MANAGER JEFF AND THE REST OF THE BOMBERS. |

THE YANKEES AND BOMBERS MEET AGAIN IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME |
THE YANKEES GO INTO SATURDAYS GAME CONFIDENT BUT NOT OVER CONFIDENT. THEY KNOW THEY WILL HAVE TO PLAY SOUND DEFENSE AND HIT THE BALL LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN. THESE ARE THE SAME YANKEES ONLY NOW THEY HAVE TRUELY FORGOT HOW TO LOSE. WITH BOTH POWER AND SPEED AND SOLID PITCHING THE YANKEES WILL BE THE TEAM TO BEAT IN 2009 NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS SATURDAY. MANAGER TED SAENZ STATES THIS TEAM HAS DEVELOPED INTO A FAMILY WITH EVERYBODY KNOWING THERE ROLE. |
